ARVET is the Agrupación de Exportadores de Transformados or Association of Manufactured Goods Exporters. It was set up in 1970 under the sponsorship of the Chambers of Commerce of the Autonomous Region of Valencia and co-operates with their export objectives. It also collaborates with the promotion policies of ICEX, the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, and with the commercial programmes of a number of other official bodies, both national and regional.
The Association currently has over 200 affiliates from the LAMPS, IRONMONGERY, BATHROOM EQUIPMENT, BUILDING MATERIALS, JEWELLERY, MACHINERY, TOYS, AND OTHER MANUFACTURED GOODS sectors.
These member companies elect their representatives to each of the existing sector committees. The Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of each of the committees make up the Management Committee. The Assembly elects the managers.
The Association is a non-profit organisation. It is funded by membership fees and subsidies and uses the infrastructure of the Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Region.
